Two months after new owner takes over, San Diego’s MakerPlace abruptly shuts down

MakerPlace, the San Diego-based industrial shop for woodworkers, welders and other creators, has abruptly shut down, asking members to remove all their belongings in less than 10 days. The shop sent an email to its members Thursday morning with few details about the closure.
